Miriam Duignan, activist from the Women's Ordination Conference:

"Because of the Consistory of Cardinals is happening without women and we are here to represent all of the women in the Catholic world and beyond who are not invited to ever speak in these meetings. So there are zero women inside that door, they are going to talk about the future of the Church without half of the Church, that's why we're here The message that we are carrying: we're wearing Cardinal's red, we're carrying messages for the Cardinals, so they read and don't forget that women are forgotten and that they need to include us."
